About

Hi!

I’m Dax Pryce (birthname: Dwayne, but let’s not talk about that)

I’m someone who lives and breathes technology, social justice, and unabashed juvenile pursuits like video games and fantasy fiction and anime.

My special interests include coffee, cooking, woodworking, and understanding the workings of how I come to think the things I think. It’s a lot of navel gazing, self-refinement, and a little frustrated self-flagellation.

I’m anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-fascist and anti-bigot. The ne’er-do-wells of the right would fucking hate my guts, which is frankly wonderful.

This little blog is a place for me to carefully usher all the thoughts rattling around in my brain into a semi-cohesive form. You may find it interesting. You may find it a pointless waste of your time. I feel confident when I say that both are likely true.

I still want to write the things I want to write, in a longer form than what today’s typical microblogging platforms allow for.

I also am basically “over” platforms. Social media is basically a low-value pursuit these days. I hope to revert back to the times when I was happiest on the internet - doing my own thing, hanging out with folks who are also doing their own thing, and avoiding the critical mass on a centralized platform.

At the bottom of these pages, there’s some icons: my languishing Github profile, an RSS feed, and a link to my Bluesky / Blacksky profile.

You’ll also notice that I don’t have any ability for others to comment anywhere on here. That’s by design. You can write your own blog in response if you want. If you can’t host it yourself, I recommend you check out bearblog.dev.

Engagement bait sucks, and I am choosing not to participate.

Cheers,

Dax
